Genesis has fully committed to a more sustainable future, with plans to fully electrify its roster by 2025 and set a new standard in sustainable luxury. The 2023 GV60 represents a major stepping stone in the automaker's journey toward electrification, as it's the first dedicated electric Genesis model without an internal combustion counterpart.
Genesis has initially launched the GV60 in very limited quantities, with availability expanding later in the launch cycle. Here's a quick look at a few of the highlights Austin drivers have to look forward to.
Performance, Range, and Charging
In the GV60 Advanced, dual electric motors deliver an all-wheel-driving 314 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque, while a 77.4-kWh battery pack enables an EPA-estimated range of 248 miles. Drivers seeking an even livelier driving experience can select the 429-horsepower GV60 Performance, which can temporarily boost output to 483 hp and 516 lb-ft. The GV60 Performance has an EPA-estimated range of 235 miles.
Charging with standard Level 2 (240V/7kW) equipment takes approximately 11 hours, 45 minutes. However, the Genesis GV60 isn't limited to daily drives around town. With its 350kW ultra-fast charging compatibility capable of replenishing 70% of the battery's capacity in just 18 minutes, extended road trips become a real possibility.
Versatility, Technology, and Safety
The GV60's gorgeous interior provides plush and roomy accommodations for five, with 24 cubic feet to spare for luggage or groceries behind the second row. When you need more cargo capacity, the rear seats fold quickly, expanding storage to 55 cubic feet.
The high-tech cabin equips a wealth of experience-enhancing features, including a beautiful panoramic driver-focused display comprising dual 12.3-inch screens for the navigation system and gauge cluster. Additionally, the GV60 doesn't reserve advanced safety and driver-assist technologies for a higher trim or optional package. All models come standard with:
