These honors continue to cement Genesis’ status in the automotive market. A relatively new automaker, Genesis has made a big name among its rivals with the introductions of the G90, G80, and G70 sedans.

The G80 is one of the leading sedans on the market, coming with a standard 311-horsepower 3.8-liter six-cylinder and features including heated front and rear seats, a 17-speaker premium audio system, a wireless charging system, a sunroof, and leather seats.

There is also the all-new G70 with a 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder averaging up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway. This sedan includes dual-zone climate control, full LED headlights, Nappa leather seats, and available all-wheel drive.

According to Manfred Fitzgerald of Genesis, “At Genesis, our brand and products must perfectly match our customers’ lifestyles, mindsets and desires. This award is a testament to the G70, which combines luxury with sports-focused elegance. And now, for the entire Genesis brand, I’d like to thank the North American Car of the Year jury for taking the time to see and experience our design and engineering teams’ intent.”

Erwin Raphael of Genesis also states “For a still-young brand, winning this highly prestigious award, as well as the other significant awards the G70 has collected, will certainly give Genesis a presence boost in the marketplace.”
